Australian Vanadium Limited (ASX:AVL) is an emerging producer of Vanadium (V) – a critical mineral in Australia and the US – with a focus on developing The Australian Vanadium Project in Western Australia. Vanadium is primarily used to strengthen steel while energy storage is a growing market. Vanadium electrolyte is a key component in the vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB) and AVL’s fully owned subsidiary VSUN Energy is dedicated to growing this market in Australia.
The Australian Vanadium Project consists of a high-grade V-Ti-Fe deposit located in the Murchison Province, approximately 43kms south of the mining town of Meekatharra in Western Australia and 740km north-east of Perth. In September 2019, The Australian Vanadium Project was awarded Major Project Status in recognition of its national strategic significance.

Vincent Algar is a geologist by profession with over 25 years’ experience in the mining industry spanning underground and open cut mining operations, greenfields exploration, project development and mining services in Western Australia and Southern Africa. He has significant experience in the management of publicly listed companies which includes the entire compliance, marketing and management process and encompasses the development of internal geological and administrative systems, exploration planning and execution, plus project acquisition and deal completion.
Daniel Harris, Non-Executive Director
Daniel Harris has a vast amount of expertise in the vanadium industry and an understanding of the resource sector from both a technical and financial perspective. His recent roles include interim CEO and Managing Director at Atlas Iron; Chief Executive & Operating Officer at Atlantic; Vice President & Head of Vanadium Assets at Evraz Group; Managing Director at Vametco Alloys; General Manager of Vanadium Operations at Strategic Minerals Corp and acting as an independent technical and executive consultant to GSA Environmental Limited in the United Kingdom.
Todd Richardson, Chief Operating Officer
Todd Richardson is an expert in vanadium process design, commissioning and operations with over 20 years’ experience in vanadium. He has an extensive background in operations management and technical services both in the USA and Australia in all phases of plant operation – process design through commissioning, ramp up and operation. He holds an MBA in Management. Todd leads the development of AVL’s world class vanadium deposit.
