EV charging infrastructure and tech company EVX has ambitious plans to roll out 1,000 charge points in the next 24 months.
There were ~20.1 million registered vehicles on the roads in 2021.
While just 20,000 EVs were sold in Australia last year, an estimated 3m are projected to be on the road by 2030, which requires 2.8m charging points and A$18bn in charging infrastructure investments.
As one of Australia’s newest charging infrastructure companies, EVX is partnering with UK-based Connected Kerb to deliver above-ground charge point sockets built directly into structures such as bollards, with the power and data of the charging point sunk below the ground in a protective steel box.
This below-ground infrastructure allows the charging points to be progressively installed without the investment of any additional infrastructure or substations.
“The availability of public EV charging points is one of the primary barriers to making the transition away from petrol-or diesel-powered cars,” EVX CEO Andrew Forster says.
“Given the rapid adoption of EV’s in urban areas, we expect EVX’s existing and future solutions to become more heavily utilised as we roll out this critical infrastructure.”

52 lithium stocks finished in the green, 42 fell flat and 39 nose-dived into a sea of red.
A 42km x 9km geophysical anomaly has been revealed at the Bitterwasser Lithium Project in Namibia from a recently completed regional electromagnetic survey.
While several other large geophysical anomalies were also identified – some of which are associated with the lithium-rich Eden clay pan and displaying features consistent with highly conductive aqueous brine pools — AM7 says the 42km anomaly is by far the most prominent.
“This is a significant exploration milestone for Arcadia,” executive chariman Jurie Wessels says.
“The discovery of large and compelling geophysical features conforming to the characteristics of brine trap sites, some of which are situated below known mineralised pans, is the penultimate step forward towards a potential company transforming discovery of brine deposits.”
Arcadia says next steps after receiving final interpretation of the geophysical data is to identify drill targets and to begin drilling operations to explore for deep-seated lithium deposits.
Assays for a further 4,709m of exploration and infill reverse circulation (RC) drilling have been received at the Grasscutter West, Ewoyaa North and Ewoyaa Main deposits at the Ewoyaa Lithium Project in Ghana, West Africa.
Multiple high-grade exploration drill intersections outside of the current mineral resource estimate (MRE) reported at the Grasscutter West and Ewoyaa North deposits include 24m at 1.54% Li2O from 100m, 21m at 1.41% Li2O from 88m, 23m at 1.23% Li2O from 183m, and 16m at 1.48% Li2O from 133m.
Meanwhile, broad intersections within the current MRE at the Ewoyaa Main deposit include 57m at 1.49% Li2O from 24m, 52m at 1.33% Li2O from 26m, and 25m at 1.08% Li2O from 29m.
A11 interim CEO Lennard Kolff says the results provide more confidence in future resource to reserve conversion.
News flow from another 21,00m of pending drilling results is expected to be released into the end of the year as the company targets a resource upgrade by the end of 2022 or early 2023.
The increased resource estimate will inform a definitive feasibility study, targeted for completion in mid-2023.
Maiden drilling at Pirra Lithium’s Spear Hill discovery in WA’s Pilbara region has hits up to 2m at 1.11%Li2O from 19m and confirmed lithium continuity 250m down dip.
Pirra Lithium is owned equally by Calidus and Haoma Mining NL.
The program comprised 20 holes for 1,535m, targeting an exposed pegmatite that has yielded rock-chip assays of 0.66%–2.34% Li2O2 and a second poorly exposed pegmatite to the north.
“This drilling represents only a small portion of the outcropping lithium pegmatites, with another 3km of strike length of pegmatite untested,” Calidus manaing director Dave Reeves says.
Infinity Lithium has formed a partnership with a major Spanish industrial and energy consortium to assess a renewable energy project, aiming to deliver cost savings to its San José project.
The binding MoU between the company’s subsidiary Extremadura New Energies and Enalter for the development of a photovoltaic (solar), methane and green hydrogen project takes advantage of the vast renewable energy opportunities in the Extremadura region.
It will also allow the company’s San José lithium project to benefit from reduced energy costs while meeting its renewable electricity and green hydrogen requirements.
Additional targets have been identified at the Roe Hills Project in WA’s eastern Goldfields region, adjacent to the 2.6km long Black Cat anomaly, where preparations for drilling are underway.
The new lithium soil anomalies – identified from 3,541 soil samples — are coincident with mapped granites and require immediate field verification and follow-up mapping and sampling prior to drilling, KAI says.
KAI managing director Dr Peter Turner says these quality and exciting soil targets highlight the lithium prospectivity at the project, where Kairos is targeting buried spodumene bearing pegmatites.
“We know that this area is fertile hunting ground in the shadow of the Manna Lithium deposit, and our 2.6km-long Black Cat soil anomaly, which comprises coincident lithium, caesium, beryllium and tin, shows huge promise to be a Manna lookalike,” he adds.
JRL intends to spin out its Australian lithium, nickel, and gold assets into a new Initial Public Offering (IPO) to form a dedicated ASX-listed critical mineral focused exploration vehicle, Dynamic Metals (proposed ASX code: DYM).
Dynamic Metals will undertake an IPO to raise a minimum of $5M and up to $7M at an issue price of $0.20 subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals.
This would allow Jindalee to focus on its flagship McDermitt Lithium Project in the US while retaining upside exposure through a 25.5pc to 32.1pc cornerstone equity holding in Dynamic Metals.
It will also provide an opportunity for investors to gain increased exposure to the company’s earlier-stage exploration projects in Western Australia, JRL says.
