Stockhead’s ‘Garimpeiro’ columnist Barry FitzGerald is back in the studio for another instalment of The Explorers Podcast.

In this episode Barry chats to Byron Dumpleton, non-executive director at Theta Gold Mines (ASX:TGM).

Theta Gold Mines currently controls over 6.1Moz of resources and aims to establish numerous near-surface mines to produce over 160,000oz gold per annum. The company completed a feasibility study in July 20222 for the first four mines Beta, CDM, Frankfort and Rietfontein (TGME Underground Project) to deliver an NPV 10% of $432 million.

Theta Gold Mines is close to securing full project permitting for its TGME Underground Project by the first quarter of 2023 after being granted two key environmental licences.

Theta recently made Stockhead headlines with the announcement they will be returning to the scene of South Africa’s first gold rush.
