MGM Wireless (ASX:MWR) says that Amazon has agreed to sell its smartphone watch for kids in the United Kingdom.

The Spacetalk smartwatch allows for two-way communication with parents and has a built-in phone and GPS service.

Designed for kids aged 5 to 12, it’s been sold in Australia since late 2017 and currently retails for $299 at JB Hi-Fi, plus a monthly subscription.

“The UK offers an exciting growth opportunity, as its population of 68 million is almost three times Australia’s,” MGM says.

The company is also investing in other online and bricks-and-mortar distribution channels in the UK, MGM says.

MWR shares were unchanged at 16.5c, down from 29c at the start of the year.
