The Unicorns Podcast connects you to some of the best and brightest founders, CEOs, executives, business owners, innovators, entrepreneurs and inspiring leaders who make things happen and inspire others.

Host Justin Kelly, former broadcast journalist and PR veteran, chats with leaders from across Australia and internationally on business strategy; what it takes to build a successful company; how to overcome challenges, and advice for those on a similar journey.

In this episode, Justin talks with Chris Gibbs, the MD and CEO of Australian critical minerals explorer American Rare Earths (ASX:ARR).

ARR already has two of the potentially largest rare earths deposits in North America. It’s also involved with US Government supported R&D to develop a sustainable and secure domestic supply chain to reduce American dependence on China for critical minerals.

Now the company is about to start an exploration program at its Halleck Creek project in Wyoming, which has a current JORC Resource of 1.43 billion tonnes. That includes 4.73 million tonnes of Total Rare Earth Oxides (TREO) with about 24% of that high value magnet rare earth elements essential for the clean energy transition.
