It’s the scandal that has rocked the internet, the discovery that late night talkshow host James Corden isn’t actually driving during his popular ‘Carpool Karaoke’ segment.
The revelation has sparked off a wave of fans expressing their – sometimes over the top – displeasure.
While this writer is pleased to have one of his suspicions confirmed – and also happy to know that they have prioritised safety over showmanship – we will now move onto something completely different.
The ASX surged mid-week after shares in supermarket stocks rallied on news that German supermarket chain Kaufland decided to abandon its Australian ambitions.
Here are this week’s ASX Small Cap Winners & Losers:
Shares in Windfarm builder Windlab charged up this week after Sydney renewable energy investor Federation Asset Management Holdings made a $68m takeover bid.
The opportunistic $1-a-share offer is via a scheme of arrangement that requires approval from the company’s board and shareholders.
Federation’s Stephen Panizza said in November that the investor liked Windlab’s exposure to the African market, while Green Energy Markets director Tristan Edis described the company’s 30 megawatt Kiata windfarm as one of the best performing in Victoria.
