The week ahead

RBA governor Phillip Lowe will give a speech on Monday called “Innovation and Regulation in the Australian Payments System”.

There’s also the monthly business and consumer updates, with NAB’s business survey on Tuesday followed by Westpac’s consumer confidence gauge on Wednesday.

Globally, key data points will include US inflation data for November and the ECB’s policy decision, both scheduled for Thursday night.
