Hillgrove Resources is Australia’s newest copper miner and is attractively positioned to benefit from the robust outlook for the copper market. Hillgrove’s core asset is the Kanmantoo Copper Mine which is located approximately 55km from Adelaide, South Australia. The mine operated as a series of open pits from 2010 to 2020, producing around 137kt of copper and over 55koz of gold.
The operation has significant infrastructure including a 3.6Mtpa processing plant and a tailings storage facility with approximately 7.0Mt of spare capacity. Operations restarted in 2023 with underground mining commencing in May 2023 and first copper production in February 2024. Hillgrove is focused on predictable operational delivery to earn the right to pursue growth within the Australian copper market.
