Australian Mines had much to celebrate about earlier this month when it picked up a pair of lithium and rare earths projects in Brazil.

Stockhead’s Sarah Hughan sits down with Australian Mines (ASX:AUZ) CEO Andrew Nesbitt to get the short end of the long story on the company’s latest announcement.

Australian Mines has executed a binding agreement to acquire the Jequie rare earth-niobium and Resende lithium projects in tandem with a $2.5m oversubscribed equity raise to fast track exploration.

Jequie is immediately adjacent to the Gina Rinehart-backed Brazilian Rare Earths company and its 510mt Rocha de Rocha project. Meanwhile, Resende is 17km east of AMG Lithium’s producing Mibra spodumene mine, which has been turning its wheels since 1945.

Tune in to hear Australian Mines’ Andrew Nesbitt on the new projects, first steps in Brazil and the latest at its Sconi project back home.
