• A 2.8km lithium trend has been identified at the project area from first pass soils
  • Auger results from Pioneer Dome West show elevated LCT and pathfinder elements, peaking at 182ppm lithium
  • Infill auger sampling is planned for early 2024

Special Report: Auger sampling at Dynamic Metals’ Pioneer Dome West prospect has returned elevated lithium, caesium and rubidium readings.

Pioneer Dome West — part of the larger Widgiemooltha project in WA’s Goldfields region — is adjacent to Develop Global’s (ASX: DVP) Dome North lithium project which hosts an 11.2Mt @ 1.2% Li20 resource.

The wider area is emerging as a significant lithium belt hosting numerous spodumene deposits such as Mt Marion, Bald Hill and Buldania, all within 25km of Dynamic Metals’ (ASX:DYM) tenure.

Elevated lithium hits

In July a 2.8km trend of elevated lithium (40ppm and greater) was identified in the centre of a soil sampling area across an interpreted greenstone sequence at Pioneer Dome Westseen as highly prospective for lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) pegmatites.

Now, follow-up auger drilling results reaffirm the area’s potential with significantly elevated results of lithium (182 ppm), and key pathfinder elements of rubidium (328 ppm) and caesium (70 ppm) from target PDWS01.

“We are excited by the results of this auger program which represent a positive step change forward from the first pass soils, and takes Dynamic one step closer unlocking the potential of the Pioneer Dome.

We are effectively exploring blind with no outcrops to follow, so the team is breaking new ground with our exploration program. What we do know is that we have the right geology with several lithium deposits situated around the Dome itself, we know there is a large lithium soil anomaly on the tenement, so it is a matter of systematically executing our programs to define potential targets for drilling.”

The target is on the E15/1721 tenement and covers 20km of strike along the highly prospective western side of Pioneer Dome.

DYM says the soil sampling program is the first systematic lithium exploration sampling program along this prospective area due to the historic gold and nickel exploration focus.

What’s next?

DYM says it’s evaluating results in context of lithium exploration under cover and plans additional infill auger and drill targets for early 2024.

At its Lake Percy project, follow-up RC drilling targeting nickel will commence shortly where the explorer believes it is hot on the trail of a “fertile nickel sulphide system” at the underexplored tenements.
