WHAT YOU MAY HAVE MISSED

Show cause notices have been issued to the licensees of the two Queensland casinos of Star Entertainment Group (ASX:SGR).

The notices follow findings of the Gotterson Review released in October, which Queensland’s Attorney-General Shannon Fentiman said highlighted “major failings” in Star’s operations in the Sunshine State.

Star now has 21 days to show cause as to why it should not face disciplinary action.

Concussion tech specialist HitIQ (ASX:HIQ) rose more than 100% in the past five days after announcing it had signed two lucrative multi-year contracts. HITIQ has signed a commercial agreement with Western Australian Football Commission to deploy its concussion management technology. The company has also signed a two-year software license agreement with England’s Premier League to provide its tech. The deal will cover players across all 20 teams and associated academies, and include provision of the HITIQ mouth guard sensor technology.
