Aside from Sydney Airport (ASX:SYD) which received a high-profile takeover offer from a global consortium of infrastructure investors, most of the leaders through midday trade eased back into the closing bell.
Organic fertiliser company Fertoz (ASX:FTZ) continued its strong rally, following a surge in mid-June on strong order flow in the North American market.
Shares in FTZ have now risen by more than 400% since the start of June.
