Rise and Shine: What you need to know before the ASX opens

On Stockhead today, $350K Bitcoin ‘by December’, nine copper juniors to watch as red gold rises, and all about CBA’s BNPL move.

But first…

The week ahead

It’s a quieter schedule on the domestic front, with no headline data or events on this week’s Australian calendar.

On global markets, US Fed chair Jerome Powell will be back on the forefront with three straight speeches to start the week, including an appearance in D.C. where he will testify before Congress on Tuesday and Wednesday night (Australian time).

Data-wise, the main event is likely to be the US personal consumption & expenditure (PCE) index for February on Friday night, which includes core PCE inflation — the preferred inflation measure of the US Fed.
