Lunchtime ASX small cap wrap: who’s on the podium today

Here are the key ASX small cap winners and losers at lunchtime Wednesday July 25:
The ASX Small Ords was flat this morning, up 3.5 points or 0.1 per cent to 2851 at 12.45pm AEST.
GOING UP
Woomera Mining (ASX:WML) jumped 24 per cent to 13c in the first hour-and-a-half of trading, a day after the company confirmed it had renewed its exploration licence for its Musgrave project for another year.
The exploration licence allows work to continue on one of four tenements that make up the company’s Musgrave Alcurra-Tieyon Project, a joint venture with Oz Minerals (ASX:OZL).
The stock cooled to 11c by 12.50pm.
Meanwhile, Hardey Resources (ASX:HDY) ticked up slightly to 0.6c, a 20 per cent gain, with news yesterday it had engaged a geological consultant to start work reviewing the Nelly Vanadium mine.

Registry Direct (ASX:RD1) also started Wednesday up 19 per cent to 1.9c after the share registry service announced yesterday it had issued 46 million new shares under a renounceable rights issue outlined in June.
Fish farmer Murray Cod (ASX:MCA) jumped almost 50 per cent this morning to an intraday high of 13c. Yesterday director Martin Priestly bought up 2 million new shares at a value of $155,000.
The shares were trading at 11c by 1pm.

Wagering business Betmakers (ASX:TBH), the company that used to be TopBetta, gave up 17 per cent this morning to an intraday low of 7.6c.
Yesterday the company released an entitlement offer priced at 8c a share to raise $6.7 million.
The company has already raised $1.04 million through institutional investors.
