After its worst week since October in which it lost nearly 3 per cent, the ASX began the new week in the green with large caps outperforming their smaller peers.

The ASX 200 finished up 0.84 per cent at 6,663 points. The ASX Small Ords meanwhile only gained 0.51 per cent, finishing at 3,096.5 and the ASX Emerging Companies Index dropped by 0.02 per cent, ending the day at 2,006.6.

The majority of the ASX’s winners were in resources, both among small caps and large caps.

But today’s biggest winner was Telehealth software company Oneview Healthcare (ASX:ONE) which more than doubled today following news of a distribution agreement with Samsung.

Other markets in the Asia-Pacific, particularly Hong Kong and South Korea also had positive trading days, but US futures are pointing slightly downwards.
