As the world waits for a definitive outcome to the US election, presidential race and Senate contests, we at Stockhead bring you the latest winners and losers in Friday morning trade.

At the time of writing President Donald Trump is trailing former Vice-President Joe Biden in Electoral College votes, 214 to 264.

The winner needs 270 Electoral College votes to gain the presidency for the next four years out to January 2025.

As both candidates trade barbs and talk about lawsuits, the US equity markets are off to the races and chalked up large overnight gains.

Perhaps the markets are confident that whatever the election outcome, the US of A will be as right as rain. Although Bitcoin is soaring

WINNERS

Here are the best performing ASX small cap stocks at 12pm Friday November 6:

Papyrus Australia (ASX:PPY) lifted more than 300 per cent Friday as the agricultural waste fibre company announced it has established operations in Egypt.

The agricultural tech company has found good prospects in the country with significant banana production.

“Papyrus can now report that its manufacturing operations in Egypt, through Papyrus Egypt, are now profitable, and that the prospect of licensing its technology has been very much enhanced because of that profitability..” said the company in an update.

Anax Metals (ASX:ANX) was propelled higher a day after its reinstatement to the ASX, and on the release of an upbeat company presentation.

Announcing Anax has entered a new era, the presentation gave details of the company’s new focus, its Whim Creek copper-zinc project. The project is adjacent to De Grey Mining’s (ASX:DEG) Mallina gold project in WA.

‘Anax’ means leader in ancient Greek, and the company aims to spend $1.5m on developing the project to gain an 80 per cent stake.

Amani Gold (ASX:ANL) was another riser Friday, but had not issued any fresh update to the market.

The company has a gold project in the Kilo-Moto belt of the Democratic Republic of Congo in Africa.

Classic Minerals (ASX:CLZ) ripped 50 per cent higher on a mention of solid progress in developing its Kat Gap gold project in its September quarter report this week.

Investors may have liked the 83 drill holes for 5,588m drilled at its Kat Gap project in WA.

LOSERS

Here are the worst performing ASX small cap stocks at 12pm Friday November 6:

Two ASX companies each fell 33 per cent in morning trading Friday, and topped the losers table, both without releasing any news.

They were Environmental Clean Technologies (ASX:ECT), and Xantippe Resources (ASX:XTC).

Environmental Clean Technologies has started to rebuild its Bacchus Marsh facility after a fire last October.

The company has spent $313,000 on property, plant and equipment linked to the rebuild, it said in its September quarter update.

Xantippe Resources went down despite releasing last week assay results for its recently acquired Southern Cross gold project in WA.

The assay results confirmed the company had intersected shallow gold intersections across its tenements.
