Mining
Great Southern Mining Ltd (GSN) is an Australian focussed gold and base metal explorer. All of its projects are 100% owned and located strategically within 40 kilometres of existing installed mineral processing infrastructure.
The Company’s flagship project is its Duketon Gold Project which abuts Regis Resources (RRL) tenure in the Duketon Greenstone Belt of Western Australia. RRL has ~10Mt of installed gold processing infrastructure in the belt with a declining resource base. GSN has three advanced prospects, namely Southern Star, Golden Boulder and Amy Clarke, all of which have large scale (+4km) mineralised strike extents and existing high-grade intercepts. The next phase for the Duketon Gold Project should see the definition of economic Mineral Resources.
The Company also has a ~1,750km2 province scale landholding in Queensland, southwest of the city of Townsville and surrounding the ~Mt Carlton gold-copper-silver mine. The project is prospective for copper-gold porphyry systems, both high and low epithermal gold systems and intrusive related gold systems. In October 2023, GSN signed an earn-in agreement with global gold major, Gold Fields Ltd, whereby this company can earn a 75% project interest by spending AUD$15 million over a six-year period. Gold Fields is due to commence drilling in the first half of 2024.
