Lunchtime ASX small cap wrap: who’s aiming for a hole-in-one
News
Here are the key ASX small cap winners and losers at lunch Friday August 31:
The ASX Small Ords was down 12.8 points or 0.44 per cent to 2,897.1 at 1pm AEST.
GOING UP
3D printing has proved lucrative for ten-bagger Titomic (ASX:TTT).
The company’s directors almost doubled their earnings in 2018 but shareholders didn’t seem to mind given the stock’s ten-fold rise from its 20c issue price last year.
Today the stock rose 6.6 per cent to an intraday high of $2.10.
That’s short of the $3.12 one-year high in June when it announced it was testing 3D printing of parts for naval ships.
Fertiliser maker Fertoz (ASX:FTZ) bounced 39 per cent on no news, rising to an intraday high of 26.5 cents — its highest mark since April 2015.
The volume was small, with only 25,000 shares trading hands. Back in February, Fertoz stuck a deal to supply its rock phosphate to a US agriculture business.
Shareholders in health company Zenitas (ASX:ZNT) got excited at news this morning that the company would be taken private by a consortium led by Adamantem Capital and Liverpool Partners.
Zenitas shareholders are being offered $1.46 per share, and, like clockwork, the company’s shares shot up to an intraday high of $1.43 — a 23.8 per cent jump on the previous day and the highest point the company has traded since re-listing on the ASX early last year.
Super researcher Chant West (ASX:CWL) rose to an intraday high of 5.2c, an increase of 26.8 per cent, after it dropped its annual report this morning.
Revenue increased slightly to just over $9 million, while the full-year loss decreased significantly to $1.7 million.

GOING DOWN
Diversified explorer Moreton Resources (ASX:MRV) made a maiden $11 million profit despite having no producing operations and shareholders sent the stock tumbling 18.2 per cent to an intraday low of 0.9c.
Moreton told investors the windfall came from its acquisition of the Granite Belt silver mine – assets worth $13.3 million – for just $10,003.
But cash in the bank at the end of June was only $1.3 million.
