Base metals explorer Golden Deeps (ASX:GED) was up 37 per cent to an intraday high of 3.7c after it appointed a new chairman.
Michael Minosora has significant corporate and resources experience, having been the money man at Fortescue Metals (ASX:FMG) and a managing partner at Ernst & Young.
He is being brought on to help with Golden Deeps’ vanadium interests. Back in July the company also bought a 70 per cent stake in two Canadian cobalt projects.

It is the highest volume for the company since those July updates.
Augmented reality app maker Thred (ASX:THD) rose 33 per cent to an intraday high of 0.4c after announcing its full-year results.

By lunch today the stock had recovered 22 per cent to an intraday high of 16.5c, as its full-year results, which showed a 786 per cent increase in sales, were released to the market.
Yesterday the stock hit its lowest point in six weeks, dropping to 13.5c, after announcing Mr Cosentino would leave immediately.

GOING DOWN
Medibio was not the only company to lose a CEO; digital bank Change Financial (ASX:CCA) lost its chief just 28 days after he took on the job.
Eric Bachman was replaced by the company’s founder Ashley Shilkin. That sent the stock tumbling 10 per cent today to 18c. This was after yesterday’s 31 per cent fall to 20c, down from 29c on Tuesday.
