Here are the key ASX small cap winners and losers at lunchtime Wednesday July 4.
The ASX Small Ords was down 16.2 points of 0.6 per cent to 2,831 at 12.30pm AEST.
Takeover target Atlas Iron (ASX:AGO) resumed its place as the most actively traded stock on the ASX on Wednesday, with 122 million shares worth $5.3 million changing hands by 12.15pm.
On Friday, Hancock Prospecting’s Redstone Corporation confirmed it had sent details of its bidders statement for the takeover of company to all Atlas shareholders. On Monday, the Takeovers Panel confirmed it would not be undertaking an inquiry into the takeover bid.
The stock was down 2 per cent at 42c just before 1pm AEST.
GOING UP
Anson Resources (ASX:ASN) jumped as much as 75 per cent by 12pm to an intraday high of 10.5c after the lithium explorer said it had found more good news from tests at its Utah Cane Creek site.
It confirmed evaporation test work from a brine bulk sample extracted from the project revealed “encouraging results.
The stock was trading at 10c at 1pm AEST.
Internet of Things business CCP Technologies (ASX:CT1) jumped 53 per cent to an intraday high of 2c, with the “critical control point” manager outlining a new global services agreement with Vodafone for the telco to use CCP’s solutions across its narrow-band internet-of-things network.
Nvoi (ASX:NVO) hit a morning high of 0.8c, up 33 per cent on Tuesday’s close on news of a partnership with IBM.
The workforce platform will collaborate with IBM to combine IBM Cloud products with Nvoi’s manager-employee match platform.
Wangle Technologies (ASX:WGL) was up 50 per cent at 12.15pm to 0.3c after emerging from a trading halt and announcing a partnership with school communications platform Skoolbag to share ebooks and educational content with one million Australian school parents.
The partnership will also include Wangle including affiliate links through the Skoolbag platform for parents to download its cyber safety management tool, Wangle Family Insites.
Meanwhile, Challenger Energy (ASX:CEL) gained 25 per cent to an intraday high of 1c, and fund manager Ennox Group (ASX:EXO) was up 33 per cent to a high of 0.4c, with no news released by either company on Wednesday.
