Hot Money Monday: The most in-demand stocks on the ASX right now
News
News
Stockhead’s Hot Money Monday analysis is based on the Relative Strength Index (RSI) — a technical gauge which measures how trading momentum is affecting the price action.
A reading of 70 is seen as the level at which a company may have been overbought. If a stock has a reading of 30 or below, it could be undervalued.
Click here for a more detailed rundown of what the RSI does and how it’s used.
While there’s usually a pretty good reason if a given stock is running hot (or cold), investors are also on the look-out for opportunities where the price action has separated from fundamentals.

In what may mark a first for the Hot Money column, consumer electronics wholesaler TTA Holdings (ASX:TTA) appeared to make a bit of history by chalking up a 14-day RSI of 100.
The minnow stock surged higher by 132pc on Friday before trading was paused “pending a further announcement”.
That followed three straight days of strong gains in the trading sessions immediately prior for TTA, which distributes TEAC electronic products in the Australian market.
TTA’s latest 4C filing showed the company booked cash receipts from customers of $2.888m, with product manufacturing costs of $2,478k and net cash outflows of $221k. TTA finished the quarter with $1.5m in the bank.
Casino operator Aquis Entertainment (ASX:AQS) also ran red hot with an RSI of 99. No surprises there, as the stock booked two historic gains to close the week, on no news.
And in line with a big week of price action in the fintech space, a number of payment and lending companies posted big RSI readings with share prices surging across the board.
Fintech names in this week’s Hot Money list included Cirralto (ASX:CRO), IOUpay (ASX:IOU) and Credit Intelligence (ASX:CI1).
