Credit Intelligence (ASX:CI1) is a leading diversified debt restructuring and personal insolvency management businesses within the credit funding sector operating in Hong Kong.

The company’s main focus is providing bankruptcy administration services and Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) proposal consultancy, implementation services and credit funding for corporate and individuals.

Credit Intelligence employs over 30 staff, including accountants and legal practitioners, who work with financial institutions to provide creditors and debtors with customised cost-effective debt solutions.

The company has worked with over 30 banks in Hong Kong including HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank, Bank of China and Citibank, and has played a central role in shaping the IVA process in Hong Kong.

Through its owned subsidiaries, ICS Funding Pte Ltd (ICS) and Hup Hoe Credit Pte Ltd (HHC), Credit Intelligence also provide credit funding in Singapore.

2020 was a year of growth for the company, completing the acquisition of Chapter Two Holdings Pty Ltd (CTH), a Sydney based debt negotiation business, in July. While in December 2020, Credit Intelligence acquired 60 per cent  of Australian FinTech, YOZO Finance Pty Ltd.

  • Jimmie Wong, Executive Chairman and Managing Director

    Mr Jimmie Wong is the founder of Credit Intelligence. He has over 20 years’ experience as a leading insolvency lawyer having served as legal adviser to numerous financial institutions and groups and has also provided legal advice in relation to cross-border takeovers and mergers, corporate finance, IPOs and foreign direct investment.

    In 2008 he was awarded the Hong Kong Innovative Entrepreneur of the Year Award

    Having obtained a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Hong Kong, he is now a non-practicing solicitor having previously worked as a solicitor in Hong Kong and Singapore.

  • King Wong, Executive Director and Chief Operation Officer

    Mr King Wong is currently the Executive Director of HKDMS. He joined the Group in 2002 and is primarily responsible for overseeing the overall business operations.

    He has extensive experience in handling insolvency matters. He was first appointed as a bankruptcy trustee in Hong Kong in 2004 and has been a member of the Insolvency Law Committee of the Law Society of Hong Kong since June 2015.

    He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the City University of Hong Kong and has been a practicing solicitor in Hong Kong since 2001.

    Mark Ng is a member of CPA Australia and a practising member of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is currently a director of MN CPA Limited, a Hong Kong-based accounting firm.

    He has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services sector across Asia and in the management and governance of listed companies. He has been involved in a number of IPOs and M&A activity on major stock exchanges (LSE, HKEX, ASX, NSX, SGX, TSX, NYSE). In addition to his experience in financial services and lending, he has extensive experience in various industries including logistics, point of sales and retail, fintech, pharmaceuticals and the FMCG sector. This experience allows Mark to understand complex lending scenarios and assess risk.
