Copper in Peru: Exploration and development opportunities

share

RockTalk is a Stockhead video series featuring a roundtable of resources experts discussing a new macro topic each week.

In this episode, host Peter Strachan walks us through Peru’s mining industry and outlines exploration and development opportunities.

Populating the expert panel for this discussion is George Bauk, executive chairman at Valor Resources (ASX:VAL).

Valor Resources is an exploration company focused on creating shareholder value through acquisitions and exploration activities. The company is focused on two key projects as outlined below in Peru and Canada.

Valor has been operating for about seven to eight years at its Picha copper project in the Moquegua and Puno regions of southern Peru. The company recently made headlines following the Peruvian Ministry of Energy and Mines’ approval of Valor Resources’ Environmental Impact Statement or Declaracion de Impacto Ambiental (DIA), allowing for up to 120 holes to be drilled across multiple targets at the Picha Copper Project.
