Regional wide-spaced pXRF soil survey and geological mapping campaigns are in motion at VSR’s Ti Tree project to identify new targets at the Morpheus, Lewis, and Akira prospects.

Voltaic Strategic Resources (ASX:VSR) has moved quickly with its pXRF soil survey and geological mapping campaign at the Ti Tree lithium project, as part of the team’s plan to rapidly progress exploration towards the next round of drilling.

The focus of the campaign is on the Morpheus, Lewis, and Akira targets – three of the 18 priority target areas identified to date – where extensive >300 pegmatites have been mapped.

Further down-dip deeper drilling is also planned at Andrada to delineate bounding lithological contacts and to examine the untested lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) potential plunge target areas.

At the same time, logistical planning is underway for geophysical and photogrammetric surveying to take place in early August across the southern portion of the project, which should provide data and high-resolution imagery for geological interpretation and drill targeting.

Drill testing to start shortly

VSR CEO Michael Walshe says so far, drilling has identified the primary structural controls of widespread pegmatite clusters across Ti Tree South and confirmed their extensive subsurface thickness and stacked placement.

“These learnings, along with current field reconnaissance, are being used to delineate high priority drill targets within the more prospective Morpheus, Lewis and Akira prospect areas, which we hope to begin testing in less than a month along with some deeper holes at Andrada,” he explains.

“The next stage at Andrada includes deeper-focused drilling to find bounding lithological contacts and to examine untested LCT potential plunge target areas.”

This is expected to bolster VSR’s understanding of the subsurface geology of the extensive pegmatite systems that are now mapped over at least 5km x 2km trends across the explored portion of E09/2503.

Management team buying on market

The Company’s management, including the CEO & Exploration Manager, have taken advantage of the recent softening in the share price, seeing significant value at these levels, and only having limited buying opportunities due to trading ‘blackout periods’ on the ASX.
