BlackEarth Minerals increased its total graphite inventory at the Maniry Graphite Project in Madagascar with the completion of infill and extension drilling at its Razafy Resource.

The Razafy indicated and inferred mineral resource now comprises 25.7Mt at 6.2% Total Graphitic Carbon (TGC) above a 3% TGC cut-off grade.

This takes total resources at the project to 37.6Mt at 6.4% TGC

BlackEarth Minerals (ASX:BEM) says the additional resource provides a material increase to its inventory of graphite mineral resources – which will add significantly to the project’s mine life.

Resource a key part of the DFS

The Razafy mineral resource estimate also remains open along strike and down dip.

“The success at Maniry of discovering and continual upgrading the Mineral Resources is testament to the exceptional potential that exists at the project,” MD Tom Revy said.

“This updated and expanded Mineral Resource will be incorporated into the current Maniry DFS and has the potential to significantly increase the proposed mine life.”

Razafy Northwest next on the agenda

The company has begun updating its high-grade Razafy Northwest Mineral Resource following the receipt of final assay data.

“Work continues on the Razafy Northwest area with an updated Mineral Resource expected ahead of the completion of the Maniry DFS,” Revy said.

“All assays from recent drilling in the area have now been received.”
