Special Report: While it is still early days, Anson’s initial field work has uncovered anomalous platinum group elements at The Bull project just 20km south of Julimar.

Geochemical sampling carried out during the initial ground truthing program had returned the results of up to 10 parts per billion (ppb) palladium within the interpreted mafic-ultramafic intrusive complex.

Not bad for an area where no exploration had previously been carried out on due to it be written off as granitic.

Follow-up work is underway that includes extensive rock chip sampling and geological mapping.

Anson Resources’ (ASX:ASN) executive chairman Bruce Richardson says the results from initial field work clearly demonstrate the upside exploration potential of The Bull project near Perth, Western Australia.

“Anson has so far identified three major targets at The Bull measuring up to 1,400m in length and 800m in width, and our team is closely following an exploration pathway proven successful in discovering significant Ni-Cu-PGE deposits,” he added.

“Our geological team is now in the process of completing further reconnaissance work before we undertake a drone magnetic and ground gravity survey early next year which will aim to generate targets for our initial drilling program at The Bull.”

The Bull project

The project is just 20km south of Chalice Mining’s (ASX:CHN) exciting Julimar project.

It is interpreted as an ovoid shaped, relatively discrete and strongly magnetic target that is similar to the Gonneville Intrusion that hosts the Julimar mineralisation.

Anson believes that Julimar, which remains open in all directions, could point to a regional scale discovery, including The Bull Project area, which it considers to be highly prospective for nickel-copper–PGE, as it could host extensions or repeat of similar orebodies discovered at Julimar.

The company added that while the Paradox lithium brine project in Utah remains its flagship project, it plans to conduct further exploration at The Bull once the licence applications are granted.
