Top 10 at 10: These ASX gold and gas stocks are meteoric on Monday

Javelin Minerals (ASX:JAV) has updated its resource estimate at Coogee to 1.42Mt at 1.076g/t for 49,000oz — a 1400% increase in tonnage and a 350% increase in overall contained metal from the previous estimate.

Aerial imagery company Nearmap (ASX:NEA) has received a ~$1bn, $2.10 per share takeover offer from software investment firm Thoma Bravo. That’s an 40% premium to NEA’s last closing price.

The Walyering gas field (Strike Energy (ASX:STX) 55%, Talon Energy (ASX:TPD) 45%) has been sanctioned for development in only 9 months from its announced discovery.

Walyering will now transition into construction with a gross $14.4 million budgeted development cost.
