Colby Hauser is an experienced energy executive with a broad range of experience in senior corporate, commercial, and project / business development roles in the energy sector, and most recently held the position of General Manager, Commercial at Strike Energy Limited. Working in both Australia and overseas Colby has developed a specialised skill set including corporate strategy, gas sales and marketing, joint venture representation, project development, as well as investor and government/stakeholder relations. He has significant long-term experience in the Perth Basin and is well known in the Perth energy community where he was formerly the President and is now a Life Member of the Energy Club of WA (formerly Petroleum Club of WA).

Colby graduated with a degree in International Business from MacEwan University (Edmonton) and a Master of Business Administration (Finance Specialisation) at the University of Western Australia.

Matt Worner is an experienced oil and gas executive who has worked with ASX and London listed E&P companies in various legal, commercial and new ventures/business development roles. He has overseen the completion of multiple asset acquisitions and divestments the world over, including Asia, Africa, US and Australasia as well as significant experience dealing with joint venture partners, host governments and NOCs in these regions.

Matt has strong capital markets experience in Australia and London including ASX and AIM IPO’s and capital raising activity. Through this work, Matt maintains solid contacts and relationships with brokers, funds and NOMADs in both Australia and the UK.

David Casey was formerly the Managing Director and CEO of Talon Energy (ASX: TPD), transitioning to his current Non-Executive Director role in January 2022. Mr Casey graduated with an Honours degree in Geology from the University of Sydney in 1991 and has spent the past thirty years working in the oil and gas industry, both in Australia and overseas.

Mr Casey has been actively involved overseeing the start-up, development and sale of a number of successful exploration and production projects. And has been involved in the management and evaluation of all aspects of conventional and unconventional oil and gas exploration projects, from initial reservoir characterisation and fairway identification, through to drilling, testing and production operations. He has substantial experience managing ASX-listed entities, and is well known to the Australian institutional investment community.

He was previously Managing Director of Eastern Star Gas Limited and managed the sale of the company to Santos. Mr Casey was also Managing Director of Petrel Energy Limited and in 2019 oversaw the reverse takeover of Petrel by Warrego Energy Limited.

Mr Kohne is a Chartered Accountant with approximately 15 years of experience in a diverse range of roles providing finance, commercial, business development and strategy advice to businesses operating in Australia and the United States (US). Mr Kohne started his career at accounting and advisory firm, KPMG, before joining Hess Corporation, a large US independent company operating in the Energy Sector, where he spent 10 years in various corporate roles, including five years in New York working closely with the CEO and CFO on strategy and planning. Mr Kohne joined Talon from Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy and Fertilisers, and brings critical experience that will be invaluable to Talon as it expands its operations and seeks out new growth opportunities.

Mr Kohne is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia, and a Master of Science in Energy Economics from Curtin University.

Dr Ferdinando gained his BSc (Hons) & PhD from the University of Western Australia. He initially worked for the Geological Survey of WA before moving to explore the northern Perth Basin with Arc Energy. After a successful period with Arc, he then took up an offer he could not refuse, joining Murphy Oil’s newly opened Australia office and worked across the Browse, Bonaparte and Perth Basins, as well as New Zealand’s offshore basins, the Great Australian Bight and the Vulcan Sub-basin. After Murphy Oil circled the wagons, closed the Perth office and headed back to Houston, he started his own consultancy, Basin Science, which specialised in regional play mapping across Australian Basins. In late 2021 Darren undertook a contract for Geoscience Australia as a Resource Assessment Specialist focusing on play mapping of conventional and unconventional resources over eastern Australian basins. He joined Talon Energy in mid-2022 and has planned and executed Talon’s recent work within the Perth Basin.

He is a Fellow of the Petroluem Exploration Society of Australia and a member of AAPG.

Mr Columbus has over 30 years of experience in Energy, and Oil & Gas including technical, commercial, executive, and non-executive roles. He is an experienced company Director with commercial, strategy, corporate finance, and legal experience. During this time, he has gained valuable business experience in delivering large, complex energy and oil & gas projects and has throughout the course of his career, also demonstrated strong strategic vision in leadership roles. Greg has also been involved in numerous M&A activities, most recently as the Independent Non-executive Chairman of Warrego Energy.
