Over on the Stockhead Facebook group chat, Nick Sundich’s post discussing whether established car makers have a competitive advantage over Tesla created a talking point.
“Cars are built from components, generally component manufacturers build to their spec and supply. So the expertise in building cars is not in the battery but the design and assembly line, and that is where Tesla is new,” group member Eric Frei commented.
“Therefore the existing manufacturers will win, hands down, and have a lot more techy cool gear to bolt in. Their supply chains are in place, their supply chain kept in the loop and tooling up.”

There weren’t many key developments of note among today’s winners, with Global Vanadium (ASX: GLV) doubling up while Property Connect Holdings (ASX: OLV) and Otherlevels Holdings (ASX: OLV) both climbed more than 40 per cent on no news.
