On Stockhead today, the only guide to ASX small cap biotechs you’ll ever need, why soaring lithium prices aren’t surprising, and how to invest in private tech.

But first, the day ahead.

Local shares are set to open higher today. At 8am AEST, the ASX 200 October futures contract is pointing down by 0.25%.

ANZ and Roy Morgan jointly issue the weekly consumer survey, which probably won’t be positive.

“Cost of living, global inflation rates, and rising interest rates are the hot button issues,” CommSec says.

In China – our biggest trade partner and world #2 economy — official stats are expected to show “that the property crisis and weak consumer demand from persistent COVID lockdowns continue to weigh on industrial profits,” says CommSec.
