Zinc explorer Peel Mining (ASX:PEX) rocketed more than 40 per cent today after a discovery that included a zinc grading of 40 per cent.
Anything over 12 per cent zinc is considered high grade.
The find came from drilling results at Peel’s “Southern Nights” site in NSW.
The shares jumped from 31c to an intraday high of 44c just after market open.
iSentia Group (ASX:ISD) rose 35 per cent to 29c this morning as the chairman and CEO’s addresses to the company’s annual general meeting were released publicly.
“I want to assure you that we have all been disappointed in Isentia’s recent share price performance. And the Board and executive team are working hard to restore shareholder value,” the company said.
The media monitoring business got walloped in August after a dividend cut, poor results and subdued outlook.
Eden Innovations (ASX:EDE) shares rose 23 per cent to 8.7c after the company told investors its concrete was being used in an American highway repair project.
It involves the reconstruction of 10 miles of the I-70 Interstate Highway, including sinking part of the highway and the establishment of a park above it, using the company’s proprietary EdenCrete.
Shares in Pharmaxis (ASX:PXS) bounced 8pc to an intraday high of 28c after the company revealed that the second of its fatty liver inhibitor drugs had passed safety clinical trials.
Pharmaxis chief Gary Phillips said some big names in pharmaceutical land were lining up to get a piece of the action.
“Several large pharma companies are interested in the Pharmaxis program where both of our LOXL2 inhibitors have now successfully completed phase 1 studies and demonstrated a best in class profile with 24‐hour inhibition of the target enzyme from a single daily dose,” he said.

GOING DOWN
Healthcare wrecks Phosphagenics (ASX:POH) and Factor Therapeutics (ASX:FTT) were among the biggest decliners, though neither has much left to lose.
Both companies opened this morning at 0.3c — but in early traded both dropped a third to 0.2c.
The two stocks lost almost all their value this week, Phosphagenics thanks to a court case loss and Factor after a failed clinical trial.
