Prime Media (ASX:PRT) rose off the back of a $131.9 million takeover bid from Seven West Media (ASX:SWM).

A “heavily overbid” $13.6m cap rise will fast track exploration at Global Lithium Resources’ (ASX:GL1) Marble Bar Lithium Project (MBLP) in 2022, the Pilbara based company says.

As part of the placement, Yibin Tianyi — the lithium chemical arm of world’s largest EV battery producer Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. (CATL) – will invest $6.2 million for a 9.9% interest in GL1.

Small cap gas play Vintage Energy (ASX:VEN) rose thanks to an upgrade to its reserves for the Vali Field – more than triple its previous estimates.

ANNOUNCEMENTS YOU MAY HAVE MISSED

Engineering firm Southern Cross (ASX:SXE) announced its subsidiary Heydey was awarded a contract to build the electrical and communications services for the new Western Sydney Airport. The value of the contract is worth over $100m and construction on the terminal is due to start by this year’s end.

Charter Hall (ASX:CHC) upgraded its earnings guidance, tipping at least 83 cents per share in post tax earnings per security. If replicated this would represent 36% growth from FY21, which the company credits to funds under management and transactional activity growth.

Still with earnings upgrades, McPhersons (ASX:MCP) told shareholders it expects sales to grow 6-8% on FY22. The result was achieved thanks to domestic sales with the company’s China trading conditions proving difficult.

Papyrus (ASX:PPY) appointed former NSW Liberal leader Kerry Chikarovski as an executive director specialising in government relations. The company says she will assist with raising the profile of the company and brings highly valuable government and stakeholder relations knowledge and expertise.

Hills (ASX:HIL) is getting out of its New Zealand security distribution operations. The company says while the form and timing of the exit is yet to be finalised, it was apparent it would require substantial time and resources which would be better dedicated to its Australian business.
