Along with a few ghost towns from bygone mining rushes, the Mojave Desert in California is also home to some advanced Air Force research labs.

And in their Mojave travels, a random TikTok user snapped footage of an unidentified shape, which happens to look like some kind of advanced prototype stealth jet.

Footage from the eagle-eyed TikTok user was picked up by an eagle-eyed Twitter user. So here’s what the Unidentified (possibly Flying) Object looks like:

On markets, the ASX has followed a steady US lead with morning gains of more than 1% in Thursday trade.

Wall Street investors digested the latest policy update from the US Fed, which maintained plans to enact its tapering plans but didn’t hit markets with any unexpected surprises.

After a fright earlier in the week, the Evergrande situation has cooled off for now, following news the embattled Chinese property developer announced plans to either meet or restructure a domestic bond interest payment yesterday.

China policy makers followed up with a big liquidity injection (110 billion yuan) this morning in the bank repo market, their biggest capital injection since January.

The next interest payment is due today — this time to foreign investors. It remains to be seen whether similar arrangements will be found for domestic creditors:

There was an unusual move at the top of the leaderboard today, as Aura Energy (ASX:AEE) rejoined the boards following a long suspension.

The company is now focused on its Tiris’ project in Mauritania, and opened near 30c which is a gain of… over 5,000% from its last closing price on Commsec.

Back in April, AEE announced a rights issue for eligible shareholders at 2.6c, leaving some lucky punters with 10-bag gains at this morning’s open.

Outside of resources, regtech company Identitii (ASX:ID8) continued its strong recent rally after announcing a three-year licence agreement with the Australian division of global bank Standard Chartered.

The deal will see Standard Chartered deploy the rollout of ID8’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) regulatory compliance platform.

ID8 said it will receive an initial payment of $300,000 from the deal, with opportunties to explore commercial partnerships with other divisions in SC’s global network.

From 12-month lows of 7c in late August, shares in ID8 have risen more than 300% over the past month and were trading this morning at 30c.

Among stocks with news, Arcadia Minerals (ASX:AM7) led the laggards after coming out of a trading halt and announcing a maiden resource at Swanson — its tantalum/lithium project in Namibia.

The company said Swanson is “potentially amenable to opencast mining” and could “also allow Arcadia to consider conducting further studies after successful completion of the ongoing drill-program”.
