China’s oldest couple have celebrated their 90th wedding anniversary in a romantic, heartwarming video that is trending on Instagram.

A video of the couple’s celebration was uploaded by Good News Movement and has received more than 101k of likes as the world looks for some positive stories.

While there are not a lot of details, according to the video caption the couple is China’s oldest with the man aged 109 and woman 108.

The man is wearing a black suit while the woman is in a white gown. The couple tenderly posing for photos holding on to each other.

To Markets…..

A little more love has also been shown to markets where the ASX is up 70 points to 7167 points at 12.15pm (AEDT) following the US lead, where stocks surged overnight.

All three major US indexes were up; the S&P 500 by 2.14%, the Dow by 1.82%, and tech heavy Nasdaq by 2.92%.

Prices for Brent crude have fallen back below US$100 a barrel with the announcement of a new round of ceasefire talks between Russia and Ukraine.

Increasing Covid cases and lockdowns in China have softened the oil and iron ore markets, with the latter falling by 6% to US$144.55 a tonne.

The US Federal Reserve Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) will meet overnight and is  expected to raise its Feds funds rate by 25 basis point hike in the first round of rate increases expected this year. The decision is due 5am (AEDT) on Thursday.

London Metals Exchange has resumed nickel trading, more than a week after it suspended trading following an unprecedented short squeeze.

Bitcoin is trending lower, down 0.86% to US$39,255 at lunchtime.

Australian Vanadium Limited (ASX:AVL) is trending higher after securing a $49 million grant under the Australian Government’s Modern Manufacturing Initiative Collaboration Stream,  which will be used towards the development of the Australian Vanadium project in Western Australia.

Arafura Resources Limited (ASX:ARU) has also been awarded one of the Federal Government’s grants for $30 million, which will contribute to construction of a $90.8m rare earth separation plant at its Nolans project in the Northern Territory

The Federal Government’s $1.3 billion Modern Manufacturing Initiative aims to develop Australia as a regional resources technology and critical minerals processing hub.

Latin Resources (ASX:LRS) drilling is trending higher after confirming thick spodumene bearing pegmatites at its Salinas lithium project in Brazil.  Latin Resources recently completed six diamond drill holes across four sections covering 500 metres of strike in the project’s southern target area.
