Special Report: Interest in Pure Hydrogen’s hydrogen fuel cell powered vehicles continues to grow with the company executing a Letter of Intent with California-based truck distributor and leasing operator GTS Group.
GTS plans to purchase Class 8 HFC tractor units along with a range of rigid trucks including 6X4 waste collection and 8X4 concrete mixer vehicles for its leasing customers.
These are designed for heavy-duty tasks while delivering the zero-emission benefits of HFC technology, including fast refuelling, strong payload capacity and lower operational emissions compared with traditional diesel trucks.
The LOI is subject to successful due diligence, US Department of Transportation compliance and negotiation of definitive agreements.
Pure Hydrogen Corporation (ASX:PH2), which is rebranding to Pure One, expects to deliver the first Class 8 tractor in Q4 2025 followed by a waste collection truck in Q2 2026.
Both vehicles will be used by GTS in customer demonstrations and roadshows with prospective fleet operators.
North America’s trucking sector is a major global opportunity with demand for zero emissions vehicles fuelled by regulatory targets and customer sustainability commitments.
“We are building nice momentum into the US following our breakthrough sale to Riverview in July,” PH2 managing director Scott Brown said.
“This Letter of Intent with GTS Group will further strengthen Pure’s growing US presence.
“GTS has an extensive customer base and a well-established leasing program that will provide an important pathway for scaling the deployment of Pure’s hydrogen fuel cell trucks across key fleets.
“Showcasing our heavy duty tractor and hydrogen waste collection truck through roadshows and client demonstrations will be crucial to driving adoption among operators seeking practical, zero-emission alternatives to diesel in one of the world’s largest commercial transport markets.”

Growing presence
The LOI with GTS follows the company selling a HFC-powered refuse truck to California-based commercial dealership Riverview International Trucks in mid-July, the first sale of an Australian-assembled zero-emission vehicle of its type into the US market.
This initial vehicle will serve as a demonstration unit, with drive days to be held at key customer sites across North America to showcase performance and drive future orders.
Both agreements are well-timed given that the demise of rivals Hyzon and Nikola have resulted in unmet demand for HFCVs in the country.
More broadly, the company’s vehicles have also seen further sales in Australia with an agreement reached to supply two Taurus Prime Movers to Scott Lovatt Transport earlier this month.
This is in addition to the second concrete agitator truck purchase order from Heidelberg Materials.
