Special report: Pure Hydrogen has locked in more than $3 million in new orders from commercial transport operators for its leading fleet of hydrogen fuel cell (HFC) vehicles.
Two Taurus HFC prime movers form part of a sale agreement with Scott Lovatt Transport – a New South Wales based company in Preston, southwest of Sydney.
This agreement follows the official handover in June of a Taurus HFC Prime Mover to Barwon Water, Victoria’s largest regional urban water corporation.
The Taurus is the first fully registered, Vehicle Type Approved hydrogen prime mover in Australia, and features an estimated life of 20 years, offering a long-term, zero-emission alternative to traditional diesel trucks.
The sale is subject to several conditions, including the establishment of procurement funding or government grants, and both parties are confident they will secure the required funding following submission of the application.
At the same time, Pure Hydrogen (ASX:PH2) has received a follow-up purchase order from construction major Heidelberg Materials Australia (formerly Hanson Australia) for the supply of a second HFC 8×4 concrete agitator rigid truck.
This follows the initial purchase earlier this year for the same vehicle type and represents Heidelberg Materials’ ongoing interest in Pure’s vehicle fleet to help achieve its carbon reduction goals.
One of the largest construction materials companies in Australia, Heidelberg has more than 3,600 employees across 300 sites. Both trucks will be deployed at Heidelberg’s operations in Rockingham, Western Australia.
The newly developed vehicle will be manufactured and supplied under the same commercial terms as the first order, based on the T30-200 30-tonne hydrogen fuel cell truck platform.
The truck features an 8×4 axle configuration, a 200kW fuel cell system and CATL traction battery, designed specifically for concrete delivery operations while significantly reducing operational emissions.
Both prime movers are scheduled for delivery to Scott Lovatt transport in mid-2026 and the concrete agitator rigid truck is scheduled for delivery to Heidelberg in Q1 of 2026.

Watch: Scott Brown joins Stockhead TV
“Strong commercial potential”
PH2 managing director Scott Brown said these vehicle orders represented the growing traction Pure was gaining in Australia’s commercial transport sector, as it capitalised on its first-mover advantage in innovative hydrogen solutions alongside the rollout of BEV and hybrid solutions.
“The agreement with Scott Lovatt Transport Group, subject to grant funding, further underlines how we have achieved product-market fit for HFC vehicle solutions, following a multi-year process of testing and regulatory engagement,” Brown said.
“The addition of the second Heidelberg Materials hydrogen fuel cell concrete agitator truck highlights the strong commercial potential of our technology and the growing demand for sustainable heavy vehicles in the industry.
“We look forward to seeing both trucks in operation at Rockingham and continuing our partnership with Heidelberg Materials, as we work alongside the team at Scott Lovatt Container Cartage to deliver our flagship Taurus trucks.”
