Here are the key ASX small cap winners at lunch Thursday February 14:
The ASX Small Ords was up 12.5 points or 0.5 per cent to 2,714.7 at 12pm AEST, its highest point since early October 2018.
Crude oil and Brent oil were $54.02 and $63.68 a barrel respectively, while gold was $1,311.25 an ounce.
The US Dollar was buying 70.95 Australian cents.
Livestock mover Wellard (ASX:WLD) was up 33 per cent to 6c at lunch thanks to its first ever profit.
The company turned a $2.9 million profit for the 2019 half-year, a massive $10.3 million turnaround on the 2018 half-year’s $7.4 million loss. High vessel utilisation, increased cattle trading and cost savings were the cause, it said.
Fashion brand City Chic Collective (ASX:CCX) jumped 30 per cent to $1.37 before lunch after reporting increased revenue and profits for the 2019 half-year.
Revenue rose 7 per cent to $75.4 million while profit jumped 35 per cent to $9.8 million.
A range of strong drilling results for Pacifico Minerals (ASX:PMY) sent the company’s shares up 25 per cent to half a cent.
The highlight was 13.2 per cent equivalent of lead at a depth of 11.7 metres at its Sorby Hills site.
Emerge Gaming (ASX:EM1) shares continue to move, though the company had no news out today. They rose 33 per cent to 1.2c.
Earlier this week the company had to pour cold water on hopes after shareholders got overexcited about a misleading media report.

Shares in outdoor advertising services company XTD (ASX:XTD) fell 18 per cent to 2.8c after the company had to respond to a speeding ticket from the ASX yesterday.
It said it could think of nothing to explain recent voluminous trading, except for perhaps the appointment of new directors.
