DataMesh Group has announced a new partnership to help Novatti retain and build its roster of merchant clientele.

DataMesh Group, an emerging player in global payment services and merchant solutions, has partnered with Novatti (ASX:NOV) to provide NOV’s merchants with market leading card-present payment solutions.

DataMesh Group’s suite of payment solutions will provide a range of benefits to Novatti acquiring clients including reduced merchant payment facility fees, the latest in Android-based payment terminals and access to detailed data insights.

Integration critical to payment infrastructure

The DataMesh Group integrated card terminal solution forms part of Novatti’s centralised commerce solution which connects merchants to online and face-to-face payments through one platform. Merchants are able to offer a mix of traditional payment methods including credit cards, direct debit as well as alternative payments such as Alipay, and WeChat Pay.

A lot of the fintechs success comes from its simple, low code integration and ability to be agnostic across multiple acquiring banks, explains CEO Mark Nagy.

“DataMesh does not compete with the banks. Effectively we provide an orchestration layer that offers a very streamlined integration with a bank or financial institution’s front end systems”.

“An acquirer, both bank and non-bank,  can quickly drop the solution (which is cloud native) in front of their own system, and literally be up and running in weeks. We offer multiple types of connectivity and we support all major payment instruments including proprietary systems such as fuel, loyalty, crypto as well as international and domestic payment types.”

Kian Jackson, General Manager of Merchant Acquiring at Novatti, said of the partnership, “It’s clear that face-to-face payments is a critical piece of the Novatti payment ecosystem as Australia has one of the highest penetrations of face-to-face devices and usage of contactless payments globally.”

“Our partnership with DataMesh Group puts Novatti in a unique position offering merchants one platform and connecting online and face-to-face payments in one system through unified commerce.”

Boosting multi-acquirer capabilities

As a leading acquirer, Novatti bolsters DataMesh Group’s multi-acquiring capabilities. The capabilities are a key component of the fintechs payment solutions, providing security and reassurance to its merchants.

“This partnership will add to our multi-acquirer capabilities, giving merchants more options and peace of mind when it comes to their transactions”, says Mr Nagy.

With a footprint in 58 countries, Novatti’s partnership signals the continued growth of the Sydney-based fintech and caps off an impressive year that saw the company launch a world first, on terminal crypto payments solution for major retailer, Peregrine Group.

“Our belief is that financial processes shouldn’t get in the way of the merchant doing business and focusing on the customer experience in-store.”

“Our partnership with Novatti is an important one as we look to build on the success of 2022 and offer our best in class payment solutions to customers across APAC and the US.”
