West African gold: Two explorers on the hunt on the African Gold Coast

RockTalk is a Stockhead video series featuring a roundtable of resources experts discussing a new macro topic each week.

In this episode Peter Strachan chats to two highly active explorers on the hunt for gold on the African Gold Coast.

Populating the expert panel for this discussion are Mark Strizek, executive director at Tietto Minerals (ASX:TIE) and Andrew Dinning, managing director and CEO at Sarama Resources (ASX:SRR).

Sarama Resources is a West African gold explorer and developer focused on establishing a new mining district in Burkina Faso. The company continues to build a solid foundation for substantial growth in the gold resource with more near-surface mineralisation discovered at the Sanutura project.

Tietto Minerals is focused on developing its Abujar Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire as West Africa’s next gold mine, targeting first gold in Q4 CY2022. The company’s stock has been on a tear of late due to fast-approaching first production from its 3.45 million ounce Abujar project in Cote d’Ivoire.

The group discuss a range of topics including Tietto’s ongoing exploration plans at Abujar, Samara’s 2022-23 exploration plans at Bukina Faso, as well as both companies’ latest assay results and turnaround times.
