V-Con is Stockhead’s investing focused video conference series, bringing you expert insights, panel discussions and presentations from leading analysts, listed small caps and industry players.

This latest video conference focuses on the Battery Metals sector.

There is no denying that battery metals are hot. And it’s all thanks to the growing demand for battery electric vehicles, grid-scale storage and the myriad applications in the tech sector.

Lithium prices have been climbing with Orocobre noting that prices had increased nearly 90 per cent over the last six months.

Fitch Solutions has also forecast that Chinese lithium carbonate will average US$13,450 per tonne in 2021 and YS$15,025/t in 2022, well up from US$6,375/t in 2020.

And its not just lithium, graphite flake prices have climbed 2 per cent in April alone.

Speaking with industry experts, we hear about what’s in store for battery metals as electrification builds momentum.
