Rare Earths: Future applications, supply chain concerns and local potential

Populating the expert panel for this discussion are Brian Thomas, technical director at Lanthanein Resources (ASX:LNR), Lachlan Reynolds, managing director at Mt Monger Resources (ASX:MTM), and Richard Brescianini, executive director of Heavy Rare Earths (ASX:HRE).

Lanthanein Resources is a mineral exploration company with a focus on the discovery of critical minerals of Rare Earth Elements in tier 1 mining jurisdictions of Western Australia and South Australia. Lanthanein is all set to start a major exploration push, drilling 10,000m to prove up its carbonatite target at Lyons rare earths project.

Mt Monger Resources is a mineral exploration and development company focussed on gold and other precious metals discoveries at the Mt Monger Gold Project and the East Laverton Gold  & Rear Earth Project in Western Australia. Investors have recently have highlighted their confidence in Mt Monger’s newly acquired Pomme rare earths and niobium project in Quebec, Canada, by backing a $3m placement.

Heavy Rare Earths is a rare earth exploration and development company that is supporting a cleaner and more sustainable future through critical minerals with key exploration project is Cowalinya, near Norseman in Western Australia. Following recent exploration and resource expansion, drilling uncovered a substantial new body of rare earths mineralisation at its Cowalinya project.

The group discuss a range of topics including MTM’s exploration plans for its Pomme project, HRE’s Cowalinya drilling results update and LNR’s Lyrons project budget for 2023.
