What’s in store for 2024: Variscan Mines

Stockhead’s Ashtyn Hiron sits down with Variscan Mines (ASX:VAR) managing director and CEO Stewart Dickson to close the books on 2023 and gain a sneak peek into what’s around the corner.

There was no time for a siesta for Variscan in 2023 as the company rolled up its sleeves and got to work at the historic San Jose zinc mine in Spain – including the greater Novales trend.

“We’ve conducted underground drilling and we’ve completed a 3D model of the mineralisation there,” Dickson said.

“We’ve also stepped out our drilling and all of that has culminated in our maiden mineral resource estimate for the mine, which has produced one of the highest-grade zinc projects on the market.”
