Tambourah Metals reports up to 8.6g/t at World’s Fair prospect at namesake project in WA
The project hosts over 30 historical gold workings
Assays from lithium drilling are pending
Special Report: First assay results from Tambourah Metals’ RC program at the World’s Fair prospect, part of its namesake Pilbara project, have returned up to 8.6g/t gold.
Review of old data byTambourah Metals (ASX:TMB) has generated several targets at the project, which hosts over 30 historical gold workings.
A promising drill campaign in 2022 at five of these prospects – Tambourah King, Western Chief, Western Chief south, Federal and Kushmattite – returned several promising hits.
This new RC drilling program was also designed to test high priority gold targets at the World’s Fair prospect – where mining was completed in the 1890s – with nine RC holes for 1,388m completed.
More high-grade hits from World’s Fair
Initial assay results from World’s Fair include:
3m at 3.3g/t gold from 23m (TBRC032), including 1m at 8.4g/t gold from 23m
1m at 4.9g/t gold from 2m (TBRC033) and
4m at 3g/t gold from 15m (TBRC039), including 1m at 8.6g/t gold from 15m
The results confirm the continuity of the high-grade gold mineralisation at the project, and its potential to host high-grade gold mineralisation throughout the 30 historic gold prospects.
Gold and lithium exploration ongoing
Mining license applications are progressing at the Tambourah goldfield, and an ongoing heritage survey will pave the way for further work.
TMB also intends to incorporate 3D modelling of the recent drilling at the project into the existing drill data.
Assays are also pending for a recently completed RC drilling program designed to test for lithium-bearing spodumene pegmatites at Tambourah North.
