• Best ever gold mineralised intercept of 28g/t returned at Tambourah King
  • Separate gold zones highlight up to 150m of continuous gold mineralisation
  • Final results from recently completed drilling program still to come

Special Report: Tambourah Metals has recorded the strongest mineralised intercept ever at its namesake gold and lithium project in the Pilbara.

First assay results from a recently completed RC drilling program revealed a hit of 5m at 6.1g/t gold from 69m (including 1m at 28g/t gold from 70-71m) at the Tambourah King prospect.

Tambourah Metals (ASX: TMB) executive chairperson Rita Brooks said it was strongest mineralised intercept in the project’s history.

A total of 17 RC holes for 2,864m tested a series of high-priority gold exploration targets at the Tambourah King and Worlds Fair prospects.

Other significant intersections included 2m at 18g/t gold from 55m (including 1m at 20.2g/t from 55-56m).

Grade and gold continuity confirmed

Hits of 4m at 4.8g/t gold from 27m and 2m at 6.6g/t gold from 38m were recorded at the Tambourah King prospect last year.

Drilling programs in both 2022 and 2023 identified two zones of gold mineralisation approximately 2m wide and 8m apart.

Tambourah believes these gold zones demonstrate up to 150m of continuous gold mineralisation which remains open down-plunge to the north.

Gold mineralisation is reported to occur in pyritic quartz reefs and veins intruded parallel to the regional stratigraphy along fractures within and adjacent to the intra-volcanic sedimentary horizons, as well as bedding plane shears within the greenstones.

More gold results to come… plus some lithium

Final results from this year’s drilling campaign at Tambourah King and Worlds Fair are still to be received.

Brooks said the drilling results received to date confirmed the continuity of the high-grade gold mineralisation at the project.

“We are pleased with these exceptionally high gold results at the Tambourah King project which confirms the Tambourah Goldfield has the potential to encompass high-grade gold mineralisation throughout the 30 historic gold prospects,” she said.

“These two historic prospects – Tambourah King and Worlds Fair – will be further advanced as we continue to test our pipeline of significant gold prospects within the Tambourah Goldfield region.”

Assays are also pending for a recently completed RC drilling program designed to test for lithium-bearing spodumene pegmatites at Tambourah North.
