• Torque Metals completes extensional reverse circulation drilling at its Paris gold project
  • Drilling was focused on extending known mineralised structures that are open at depth and into shallower zones
  • Results will be combined with diamond drilling data to assist with ongoing metallurgical work and expand resources

Special Report: Torque Metals has completed extensional reverse circulation drilling at its Paris gold project that will deliver the first suite of results since the maiden resource was announced in mid-September.

The project currently has a resource of 2.52Mt grading 3.1g/t gold, or 250,000oz of contained gold, most of which is shallow, high-recovery material with ~190,000oz at 2.9g/t being open pittable.

Torque Metals (ASX:TOR) has now completed ~7400m of RC drilling aimed at extending the known mineralised structures at Paris, which are open at depth.

Results from this program will accompany outstanding diamond drilling assays such as 22.15m at 12.14g/t gold from a down-hole depth of 188.27m, including 2.7m at 82.45g/t gold from 206.4m (2024PDD005) and 4.05m at 4.79g/t gold from 89.87m (2024PDD004).

Additionally, costs associated with the RC drilling will be partially covered by a cost-saving drill-for-equity agreement with drill contractor Topdrill.

Focus on resource growth

“Having now successfully defined a mineral resource estimate of 250,000oz at 3.1g/t gold at the Paris gold project within a concentrated area of 2.5km2; our attention now turns to resource growth, both within and beyond this highly prospective realm,” managing director Cristian Moreno said.

“To this end, our latest RC drill campaign intensively focused on the Paris prospect, a major component of the MRE. We believe there is significant expansion potential in this zone; both at depth and towards the surface.

“These results, together with diamond drilling data, will assist with ongoing metallurgical work and expand recently released mineral resource estimate.

“Our drill-for-equity deal with Topdrill has also helped offset some of the costs, keeping our project on track financially, we thank Topdrill for its continuous support.”

Future activities

TOR will soon release all outstanding assays from its diamond drilling program along with assays from the RC drilling program.

It is currently undertaking additional metallurgical studies to further de-risk and assess production options with all data contributing towards a scoping study focused on indicated resources.

Further infill drilling will be carried out within the inferred resource to upgrade some areas to the higher confidence indicated category.

Additionally, the company is generating drilling targets across is broader regional tenements with the intention to carry out reconnaissance drill campaigns.
