Sultan taps local expert to deliver a tasty Ontario lithium dish

Sultan is leaning on local expertise to ensure the best outcomes from exploration at its newly acquired Kember and Ruddy lithium projects in northwestern Ontario, Canada.
The company has appointed highly-regarded Canadian geological consultancy APEX Geoscience, which is experienced with numerous lithium-caesium-tantalum pegmatite projects in Canada, to manage its exploration efforts.
APEX has undertaken a review of the projects and is working with Sultan Resources (ASX:SLZ) to finalise a cost-effective and comprehensive exploration program to identify, map and sample high priority targets across the projects.
Initial exploration is expected to consist of comprehensive groundwork aimed at delineating LCT pegmatites for eventual drill testing later this year.
“Sultan is pleased to have contracted APEX to manage the exploration on the Kember and Ruddy properties in Ontario,” chairman Jeremy King said.

In the ‘Goldilocks zone’
Ruddy and Kember cover about 10km2 and 29.3km2 of ground in the highly prospective ‘Goldilocks Zone’ in Ontario for lithium mineralisation.Kember is just next door to Frontier Lithium’s Spark deposit, where it intersected an impressive 398.2m @1.88% Li2O including a 23.4m zone at 3.12% and recently upgraded its total resource to 18.8 million tonnes (mt) with an average grade of 1.52% Li2O indicated and 29.7mt with an average grade of 1.34% Li2O inferred resources.
Meanwhile, Ruddy sits north of fellow Australian Green Technology Metals’ (ASX:GT1) large Ontario lithium holdings, with the interpreted ‘Golidilocks Zone’ of optimal formation of lithium-caesium-tantalum pegmatites passing through Sultan’s tenure.
