Rich Rothschild gold assays a positive sign for Warriedar’s Murchison drill campaign

Warriedar has proven that there’s more gold to be found at the Rothschild prospect at its Fields Find project in WA’s Murchison province with drilling returning significant gold intercepts at depth.
First assays from the ongoing reverse circulation drill program at the project returned intercepts such as 11m grading 3.39 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from a down-hole depth of 197m (BRRC081) and 9m at 1.85g/t gold from 150m (BRRC078).
And if this wasn’t enough, Warriedar Resources (ASX:WA8) notes that the chips from hole BRRC081 look very similar to many other samples in holes awaiting assay.
Along with drilling extending the extent of the higher grade core by more than 100m at depth, which is also a hefty increase by any standard, the prospect of having more rich drill intercepts bodes well for any future resources estimates.
It also indicates that the drilling has achieved its objectives of testing the scale potential of the existing deposit including depth extensions, repeat parallel lodes and satellite lodes.
Rothschild was selected as the first area to drill within Fields Find under the broader campaign of at least 40,000m that the company is conducting across its Murchison projects this year.
This is due to the deposit being located on a mining lease and historical data demonstrating that gold mineralisation extends along strike for up to 1km while the higher grade core appears to remain open both at depth and along strike.
Phase 1 drilling, which represented the first major exploration program targeting primary gold at Rothschild in over seven years, comprised of 5,000m of drilling to assess its scale potential.
Step-out drilling was designed to test beneath and along strike from the existing deposit while holes also targeted parallel lodes to the northwest and south of the existing lode.
The program was extended to 7,750m – of which 6,024m has been drilled to date – after strong quartz-sulphide mineralisation was identified in geological logging of deeper retrieved drilling chips.
Ground electromagnetic surveying and drilling with two RC rigs is continuing at both the Golden Range and Fields Find projects.
The rig at Golden Range is currently drilling at the Riley North target following the completion of Stage 1 holes at Bugeye North.
Warriedar has completed 24,048m of drilling across its two projects to date.
