Special Report: A heritage survey at Raiden’s Andover North project will begin on April 2, focusing on areas interpreted to be underlaid by the Andover ultramafic complex, a host unit for pegmatite mineralisation.
Raiden Resources (ASX:RDN) believes high prospectivity exists for pegmatites across its Andover North project in WA’s Pilbara based on interpretation of historical and more recently available datasets.
It is also based on the understanding that the rocks underlying Raiden’s landholding exhibit a consistent magnetic signature that shows the Andover complex to be a much larger area than previously mapped.
The Andover ultramafic complex is a highly prospective unit for pegmatite mineralisation and hosts Azure Minerals (ASX:AZS) Andover discovery which now boasts an exploration target of 100-240Mt at 1-1.5% Li2O.
Now that it has secured an archaeological and anthropological heritage survey with the Ngarluma Aboriginal Corporation (NAC), RDN is planning to drill test the defined, high grade pegmatites with RC or diamond drilling on Andover South Project once the Andover South survey has been completed.
An aircore drilling campaign will be initiated on Andover North project as well in order to define potential pegmatite targets for further drill testing.
“We are very pleased to have now secured heritage surveys over both the Andover North and Andover South projects,” RDN managing director Dusko Ljubojevic says.
“The Andover North project survey will be conducted immediately after the Andover South survey, allowing the company to begin with targeting work on Andover North, which may hopefully lead into a broader drilling campaign across all the Andover projects.”
RDN hopes its targeted aircore drilling campaign will help define potential pegmatites for follow-up diamond or RC campaigns on Andover North project which will hopefully generate the same targets as defined on Andover South project.
