Oklo’s ongoing resource expansion drill program at the Dandoko project has provided further support to its view that Disse is an emerging high-grade target.

Assays from the first seven infill reverse circulation holes returned significant intervals of high-grade primary gold mineralisation including a top hit of 1m at 69.1 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 127m within a broader 6m zone grading 12.56g/t gold from 124m.

This is potentially significant for Oklo Resources (ASX:OKU) as Disse currently extends over a 550m of strike and made up a small part of the company’s maiden Dandoko resource that was released in March this year.

“These results are an excellent start to the 2022 field season further confirming Disse as an emerging high-grade target in fresh rock to complement the largely shallow oxide resource at Seko,” managing director Simon Taylor said.

“The current 9,000m resource expansion drilling program is well underway with the drill rig presently at Seko completing a deep diamond hole under SK2 while awaiting further results from Disse.

“In parallel, we are processing data from the recent 3D IP and passive seismic geophysical surveys to assist in targeting potential high-grade feeder zones in fresh rock at Seko and advancing the Technical and Environmental studies.”

Disse

The Disse target is a southeast-trending zone extending over a 550m strike length to the south of SK3 that remains open at depth and along strike to the southeast.

A modest inferred resource of 150,000t grading 2.57g/t gold for 12,100oz of contained gold was previously reported at Disse.

This is a small part of the broader 668,500oz resource estimated for the overall project, about 79% of which is classified in the higher confidence measured and indicated categories.

Oklo notes that the recent holes were drilled on infill sections to close up the previous wide line spacing of up to 150m.

Assays have been received to date from the western zone with results indicating good potential for high-grade shoots plunging to the southeast at depth that require further drill testing.

Results are also pending from a further five RC infill holes to the east and two deeper diamond holes in the west and central zone.

Future activity

The current 9,000m drill program is now focusing shallow oxide and deeper primary gold mineralisation at Seko, Disse and Koko with the next phase of deep drilling to be assisted by the results pending from the 3D IP and passive seismic geophysical surveys completed over the wet season.

It is currently scheduled for completion early in 2022 with the next phase planned to follow-up the recent discoveries at Sari and Kandiole.
