Infinity Lithium’s Spanish subsidiary Extremadura New Energies has joined the Círculo Empresarial Cacereño (CEC) – a key business group in Cáceres, the community local to Infinity’s fully integrated underground San José Lithium Project.

The group represents 3,500 businesses in the Cáceres province and provides a voice for local businesses, enabling growth and opportunity for its members.

Additionally, Extremadura New Energies has also signed a cooperation agreement outlining how they can work together for the benefit of the people of Cáceres and promote economic development within the lithium-ion battery value chain.

An important opportunity

CEC president Diego Hernández said this marks an opportunity for the city and for the province as the project becomes a “generator of employment and wealth”.

The two entities will be looking for any other business or industrial initiatives which could generate an ideal ecosystem for economic growth and will work together on identifying relevant skills shortages locally.

Infinity Lithium (ASX:INF) chairman Adrian Byass said the company believes the respect and care INF invests in all the relationships it is forging will help ensure that maximum benefits from the project are realised for all stakeholders.
